About Us
Decades ago, a small group of growers in Homestead, Florida went to great lengths to produce the finest quality, fresh vegetables available in South Florida.
In 1986, they created Florida Specialties, a small operation with a Grand Mission: "To become the label known for quality throughout the fresh produce industry".
Its founders believed they did not need to be largest; they just needed to be the best.
More than 20 years later, Florida Specialties has earned a reputation for being the freshest, finest quality produce available. Whether it's green or wax beans, eggplant, squash or peppers, if it has the Florida Specialties name on the box, you can be sure it will be the best.
Today, under the ownership of Myles Strohl, who bought the growing, shipping and sales operation from Jim Joiner, Susan Joiner and Kenny Graves in late 2009, Florida Specialties continues its tradition of providing the best product to its buyers.
